  1. What is the definition of a room/space.  This is an area that has a separate function from the other rooms or spaces.  For our purposes a great room with a living room, dining, kitchen and breakfast nook would be considered 4 areas.  Likewise, a master bedroom, master bathroom, and master closet would be considered 3 separate areas.
  2. Are there any rooms that I shouldn't count?  We don't count, the foyer, hallways, stairs or small rooms like a powder room or closet where we can scan the entire room from the doorway.  If we have to go into the room to complete the scan, then we count it.
  3. What if I only have you shoot the minimum amount of rooms?  We can do that, but the floor plan and dollhouse views will be incomplete.
  4. What if I don't know how many rooms there are?  Take your best guess, but guess high.  Were you to guess too low, we may not be able to finish the tour in the allotted time.  If you guess too high, we'll credit you back the amount over the actual rooms/spaces.
  5. What do I have to do to prepare the listing?  Unlike traditional cameras, you need to have everything out of site.  Go to each corner of the room that will be scanned, and if you can see it, so can the camera.
  6. How long does it take?  It can take from 1-3.5 hours or more depending on the amount of space to be scanned.  It also depends on how many rooms are at the property, how much furniture is in a room, and how large each room is.  It can take from 4 to 10 or 11 scans per room.  In addition, we need to scan hallways and both sides of the doorways.
  7. How many stops are on the autotour?  Approximately 9-11.
  8. Can you photograph outside?  No.  Since the camera uses lasers to map the space, with outdoor lighting, the lasers are ineffective.
  9. Are there any rooms that cannot be scanned? Yes.  If a room has too many mirrors or windows, the laser cannot map it correctly.
  10. How long does it take to get my Matterport tour back?  Approximately 2 business days.
  11. Can my client be at the shoot?  You and they can be on site unless we're shooting the entire house.  Pets need to be locked out of site.
  12. Where can it be posted?  We'll post it to the MLS for you. We can also provide a short line of code that makes it easy to post the 3-D tour to your own website.
